Job Description
Job Opportunity: Excavation Worker/Construction Helper at Marshall West Excavating & Contracting Ltd. (o/a M West Excavating)
Position: Excavation Worker/Construction Helper
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Various job sites in Kamloops and surrounding areas, BC
Hourly Wage: $25.00 CAD
Requirements:
- No prior experience required but welcomed; on-the-job training will be provided;
- Good command of English;
- Education: Some secondary school.
Main duties:
- Assist with excavation needs including signaling operators to guide them in moving equipment, providing assistance in loading and unloading excavators from trucks;
- Assist excavator operators in securing special attachments to equipment and providing assistance in other activities;
- Assist in demolishing buildings;
- Use hand and power tools;
- Load, unload, and transport construction equipment and materials;
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing rubble, debris, and waste materials;
- Perform routine maintenance work, including oiling and greasing heavy equipment;
- Follow supervisors’ instructions and perform other tasks as needed;
- Adhere to safety procedures.
