Job Description
The family seeks a motivated, kind, patient, and caring home support worker for their elderly mother. You will work from the mother’s home which is close to Eglington/Don Mills Rd. The proposed wage ranges from $19 to $21 per hour, with a 35-hour week.
Some of the regular tasks and responsibilities will include:
- administering bedside and personal care
- assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- assisting with regular exercises, ex: walk
- assisting with feeding
- laundering clothing and household linens
- performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- assisting with cooking East Indian and East African cuisine
- preparing and serving nutritious meals
- proving companionship
- shopping for food and household supplies
- accompanying client to appointments and social outings
- performing other duties related to personal care
Preference will be given to people who know how to cook East African and East Indian foods.
The following are required prerequisites of employment: criminal record check, references, and immunization records (including COVID).
