Job Description: Home Support Worker

NOC: 44101

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Wage: $24.65

Location: Victoria, British Columbia

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide care and assistance to an individual in a private household. The successful candidate will support daily living activities, ensure safety and comfort, and promote a healthy and respectful environment.

Home support workers provide personal care and companionship for person with disabilities. Caregiver will provide care in the client’s residence

Responsibilities:

Provide Personal Care
Provide Companionship
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Launder clothing and household linens
Work in employer’s client’s home
Administer bedside and personal care
Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene and dressing and undressing.
Assisting in the administration of medication .
Requirements

Completion of secondary school
Ability to communicate in English
Firs Aid/ CPR Certificate
Food Safe Certification
Work Condition

Must be comfortable working in a private household
Criminal Record Check required
Non-smoking environment
