Job Description
Position: Home child care provider (NOC: 44100)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $20.00/hr.; 32 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible
No. of Position: (1 vacancy)
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Languages: English
Work Setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Supervise and care for children
Take children to and from school and to appointments
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
Work Location Information: Main Intersection is Wilson Avenue and Bathurst Street Toronto, Ontario
