Job Title: Director of Operations – Restaurant (NOC : 60030)

Positions: 1

Hourly Wage: $36.00 per Hour

Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Working Hours:  Day, Evening, Morning, Night, On Call, Shift, Weekend

Type: Full Time, Permanent Employment

Location: 100 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5B 2C9, Canada

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Languages:

English

Education:

·         College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:

3 years to less than 5 years

Work setting:

·         Restaurant and food service

On site:  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities

Tasks

·         Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits

·         Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies

·         Evaluate daily operations

·         Monitor revenues to determine labour cost

·         Monitor staff performance

·         Plan and organize daily operations

·         Recruit staff

·         Set staff work schedules

·         Supervise staff

·         Train staff

·         Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

·         Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms

·         Organize and maintain inventory

·         Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

·         Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·         Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities

·         Participate in marketing plans and implementation

·         Leading/instructing individuals

·         Address customers’ complaints or concerns

·         Manage events

·         Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions

·         Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

·         Co-ordinate special events

·         More than 20 people
