Job Duties:
• Removal of finished bundles from both the Sawmill and the Planer Stacker Outfeed.
• Loading of the kilns and ensuring proper segregation of Heat Treated (HT) lumber and untreated lumber.
• Loading and unloading of the Dry kiln carts.
• Keep the Planer infeed deck full of bundles to be processed.
• Letting Planer Supervisor know the number of bundles left in yard.
• Maintain a steady supply of stick carts.
• Proper movement of all residue by-products (sawdust, bark, chips, etc.)
• Unload delivery trucks when required.
• Load lumber, chip and bark trucks.
• Move the gravel when required.
• Spreading of water (using the bucket) when required.
• Assist mechanic(s) to perform maintenance on your machine.
• Keep the yard clear of damaged boards, bundles, broken straps, etc. Remember: Idle time is clean-up time.
• Perform a Circle Check on your machine.
• Complete machine reports.
• Responsible to help co-workers when required.
• Responsible to perform other duties as requested by your supervisor.
• Report any mechanical problems with your machine to your Supervisor and the appropriate mechanic at the garage;
• Report any Accident, Injury or Close Call as soon as possible to your Supervisor;

Skills Required:
• Able to follow the directions of your supervisor; follow the guidelines as per the Job Description; follow the Regulations found within the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Able to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment;
• Organized, reliable, team player.
• Hardworking and flexible.

Experience Required:
• Experience in a similar position is an asset.

• No formal education requirements.
