Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 30–40 hours per week (8-hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Salary: $27.25 – $37.00 per hour (CAD)

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement learning programs that promote children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, music, arts, dramatic play, outdoor exploration, and movement.

Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment where children feel secure and supported.

Observe and assess children’s development, sharing progress and concerns with parents, guardians, and colleagues.

Guide children in developing independence through daily routines (eating, dressing, personal hygiene).

Foster strong, respectful relationships with families, colleagues, and community partners.

Provide structured care for school-aged children during before- and after-school programs as needed.

Supervise and support early childhood educator assistants and other team members when required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required)

Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certificate

Current First Aid certification

1–2 years of relevant experience

Satisfactory criminal record check

Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral communication
