Job Description
A Toronto-based family is looking for a responsible and caring Nanny to support two school-aged children (ages 9 and 11). The position is available as soon as possible. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day (total 30 hours per week). Care will take place at the employer’s private residence; live-in arrangement is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and dependable, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Vacation Pay: 4%
Key Responsibilities
Provide after-school care, supervision, and support for two children (ages 9 and 11).
Assist with school pick-up, drop-off, and transportation to extracurricular activities.
Help with homework, school projects, and encourage age-appropriate learning.
Organize after-school activities that combine play and learning, such as puzzles, art projects, storytelling, and outdoor recreation.
Plan and organize daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and recreational activities.
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks.
Encourage good personal hygiene, manners, and positive social interactions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
Keep records of children’s activities and well-being as requested by parents.
Carry out light household duties related to the children (laundry, tidying play/study areas).
If needed, purchase groceries and household supplies.
Follow parents’ guidance in discipline and household expectations.
Requirements & Assets
Secondary school completion is required.
Experience in childcare or completion of a caregiver/childcare training program is considered an asset, but not mandatory.
Valid Ontario driver’s license and proven safe driving ability are required.
Clear Criminal Record Check.
CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
