Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $38.51/hour — 40 hours per week

We’re currently seeking an experienced Sprinkler System Fitter to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do

• Schedule materials, tools and personnel
• Instruct apprentices
• Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
• Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment
• Service and repair sprinkler system
• Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
• Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
• Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
• Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
• Select type and size of pipe required
• Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Work Conditions

On the road: frequent or constant travel to various job sites

Work environments include heights, confined spaces, and wet or noisy conditions

What You Bring

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma

Experience: 2–3 years as a sprinkler system fitter

License: Valid Driver’s License required

Tools: Must have your own safety equipment and steel-toed boots
