Job Description

Load Care Express Inc. is looking to hire 2 Long-Haul Truck Drivers to transport goods on provincial and international routes. The Long-Haul Truck Drivers should be able to achieve a class 1 license and be able to plan travel schedules & routes.

 

Job Title – Long Haul Truck Driver

Position – 2

Location – 34559 McClary Ave, Abbotsford, BC. V2S 7N3

Wages: $36.80/hour (will be paid semi monthly)

Job Type – Full-time/ Permanent

Vacation Pay – 4% of Gross

Working hours: 40-50/week

Language – English

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.

·         Plan travel schedule and routes.

·         Loading and unloading of goods ensuring safety and security of cargo.

·         Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspections of vehicle system, tires, lights and brakes.

·         Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.

·         Drive as single or team.

·         Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical inspection pre and post trip.

·         Maintain Logbook of distance travelled hours and fuel consumption along the trip.

·         Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.

 

Requirements:

·         High School

·         Class 1 License

·         Proactive and self-motivated

·         Experience is an asset
