Job Description
Sol Lee’s Korean Restaurant, located at 550-329 North Road, Coquitlam, British Columbia V3K 3V8 Canada, is currently looking for one permanent, full time Head Chef experienced. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

4. Compensation: $36.60 per hour
5. Working hours: 30~40 hours per week
6. Benefits: 4 % of vacation pay / Free meals at work and tips
Job Duties
1. Oversee daily food production and ensure all dishes consistently reflect Korean cooking techniques.
2. Prepare complex signature Korean dishes and lead the kitchen culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service.
3. Manage daily kitchen workflows for efficient production and authentic Korean cuisine standards.
4. Design and update Korean menus to reflect seasonal availability and accommodate specific customer dietary preferences or group bookings.
5. Develop new Korean recipes and implement strict quality control measures to maintain high standards for every dish served.
6. Manage inventory levels for essential Korean ingredients and monitor food costs to optimize kitchen budget and efficiency.
7. Direct and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers, ensuring they strictly follow standardized Korean recipes and preparation methods.
8. Order kitchen supplies and oversee the proper maintenance and cleaning of specialized Korean cooking equipment and tools.
9. Train new kitchen staff in the fundamental techniques of professional Korean cuisine, as well as food safety and hygiene protocols.

Requirements
1. Completion of secondary school
2. Minimum 5 years of commercial cooking experience along with a supervisory or management role within the culinary industry is required.
3. Extensive knowledge and professional expertise in authentic Korean cuisine and traditional cooking techniques are preferred.
