Job Duties:
• Maintenance of the facility, equipment, vehicles, and tools related to the wash bay.
• Performance of standard wash bay services and functions as required.
• Scheduling, washing, and detailing of customer and company equipment to meet business needs.
• May require participation in the organization of the in and out functions associated with moving equipment through in a timely and efficient manner.
• Working closely with service writers for co-ordination of work assignments.
• Maintaining the condition of the facilities, equipment, and tools related to the wash bay.
• Maintaining a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Following all safety rules and regulations associated with the facilities and equipment specific to the wash bay (ex: lifts, pressure washers, etc.), and in performing work assignments.
• Completing all reports and forms required in conjunction with assignments.
• Accounting for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
• To take an active role in ensuring a constructive and positive team-environment is maintained within the department, throughout the branch and across the organization.
Skills Required:
• Basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures is required.
• Ability to operate/use equipment (such as a commercial pressure washer, battery charger, compressor, power pumps, miscellaneous hand tools) and work with various maintenance related chemicals (i.e. commercial cleaners).
• Ability to operate lifts (scissor/other) as well as heavy duty equipment (large ag equipment).
• Ability to perform multiple duties as assigned and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to lift items weighing upwards of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts.
Experience Required:
• On-the-job training is provided.
• General machinery knowledge is an asset.
Education Required:
• No specific education requirements.
• WHMIS/ Forklift/Power Mobile Equipment certification would be a great asset.
Wage & Hours: $ 24.00 / hr
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
• Shift rotation: As per business needs; may include scheduled work week within Sunday-Saturday structure dependent on season. “On call” work will be required.
