Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
• Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Stonemason or in a similar role within construction or restoration projects.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as chisels, hammers, grinders, as well as power tools for cutting and shaping stone.
• Knowledge of different types of stone materials including granite, limestone, marble, sandstone, and their specific handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and safety standards.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.

Pay: CA$41.85 per hour

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
