Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Wage: $20.13

Location: Victoria, British Columbia

Job Summary

We are seeking a caring, responsible, and reliable Home Child Care Provider to care for children in a private household. The successful candidate will provide attentive supervision, support daily routines, and create a safe and nurturing environment.

 

Responsibilities
• Supervise and care for children in the employer’s home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Assist children with personal hygiene and dressing
• Organize age‑appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and outings
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Tend to the emotional well‑being of children and support their social development
• Instruct children in personal habits such as cleanliness and proper manners
• Accompany children to and from school, appointments, or activities
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children (tidying play areas, washing dishes, children’s laundry)
• Follow the family’s routines and care instructions

Requirements

Completion of secondary school
Ability to communicate in English
Firs Aid/ CPR Certificate
Food Safe Certification

Work Condition

Must be comfortable working in a private household
Criminal Record Check required
Non-smoking environment
