Machine Operator – Food & Beverage

Job Description

PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire 3 Machine Operators – Food & Beverage to operate machines to prepare and package food of their dairy-based food & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant will be required to receive training for 1 week period after which shall be able to work independently under supervision.

Position: Machine Operator – Food & Beverage

Location: 6308 – 146th Street, Surrey. BC

Wage Rate: $22.50/hour for 37.5 hours a week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Education: High School

Experience: On Job Training will be provided

Job Description:

·    Set up and adjust food processing and packaging machines

·    Operate single-function machines to grind, extract, mix, blend, dry, freeze, cook or otherwise process food.

·    Operate machines to box and pack food

·    Check products to ensure company standards and clear machine blockage if and when required

·    Record production quantity, weight, date and type of food processed

·    Perform machine adjustments, clean machines and work areas

·    Help supervisors in assembling/dissembling machines.

·    Cleaning work area and equipment

·    Adheres to the Quality Assurance Policy

·    Complies with the work rules and standards of the company.

·    Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments

·    Performs in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

·    Previous experience in a food-manufacturing environment is an asset

·    Must be flexible to work in any shift (early morning, morning and closing shifts)

·    Work involves heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
