Job Description

Edge Acoustics Ltd. is seeking an experienced User Support Technician to support our office and warehouse operations. Edge Acoustics supplies acoustical ceiling materials and relies on several digital systems and networked devices to support inventory management, communication, and daily business operations.

The position is primarily based at our Langley office. The successful candidate will provide technical support to employees and help maintain the computer systems, network infrastructure, and software platforms used for inventory management, communication, and day-to-day operations.

Occasional travel may be required to other office and warehouse locations within the Lower Mainland, including locations operated by a related company. Travel time and expenses will be covered by the employer.

Terms of Employment

  • Permanent, full-time
  • Wage: $36.75 per hour + extended health benefits

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience providing technical support for computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Language: good command of English.
  • Education: completion of a college program in computer science, computer programming, network administration, or a related field.

Main Duties

  • Provide technical assistance to employees experiencing problems with computer hardware, software, or network systems;
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other equipment used in office and warehouse operations;
  • Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations;
  • Support cloud-based systems used by the company, including QuickBooks and Google Workspace;
  • Assist staff with company software used for operations and project coordination, including Planswift, TSheets, and Fieldwire;
  • Maintain reliable network connectivity across office and warehouse locations by supporting Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and access points, ensuring consistent performance for scanners, workstations, and other connected devices;
  • Support digital inventory and order tracking systems used to manage materials and warehouse operations;
  • Set up user accounts and manage access to shared systems and cloud-based file storage;
  • Assist in maintaining cybersecurity by monitoring company systems and devices, applying security patches, and supporting firewall and endpoint protection to safeguard data and prevent unauthorized access;
  • Document technical issues and solutions and assist employees with the use of company systems.
