Job Opportunity: Farm Supervisor – Plant Propagation Operations Company: Clearview Horticultural Products Inc. Location: 23743 48th Ave, Langley, BC, V2Z 2S8 (with additional sites at 6925 264th Street, 26345 69th Avenue, and 5343 264th Street, Langley, BC) Wage: $30/hr Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Language: English Start Date: As soon as possible Positions Available: 1

Qualifications:

•Completion of a college program in horticulture or a related field
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant propagation or greenhouse operations

Key Responsibilities:

•Coordinate, assign, and supervise greenhouse workers, nursery laborers, and propagationstaff engaged in plant propagation, crop maintenance, and production activities.
•Oversee plant propagation programs using seeds, cuttings, grafting, division, and tissueculture techniques.
•Maintain plant health, crop quality, pest management, and greenhouse sanitationstandards.
•Supervise growing, irrigation, fertilization, transplanting, pruning, harvesting, and othercrop-related tasks.
•Ensure proper operation and maintenance of greenhouse infrastructure, irrigation systems,environmental controls, machinery, tools, and propagation equipment.
•Develop work schedules, assign daily tasks, and establish procedures for efficientoperations.
•Promote safety, environmental protection, and bio-security protocols among staff.
•Keep records of propagation success, crop yields, inventory, and greenhouse activities.
•Monitor environmental conditions, temperature, humidity, ventilation, watering, andlighting, to optimize plant growth.
•Manage inventory and procurement of seeds, media, fertilizers, containers, andpropagation materials.
•Train staff in propagation techniques, crop handling, equipment use, and safety practices.
•Perform general greenhouse, nursery, or farm duties as needed to support daily operations.

Working Conditions:

•Work in damp, cold, noisy environments with strong odors and dust.
•Physically demanding role requiring standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 50lbs or more.
