Job Summary

The Light Duty Cleaner is responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep residential and commercial spaces clean, organized, and presentable. The role focuses on non‑specialized cleaning duties that support daily operations and contribute to a healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning

·         Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in residential and commercial areas

·         Dust furniture, fixtures, shelves, and surfaces

·         Clean and sanitize high‑touch areas such as doorknobs, switches, and railings

·         Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners

Restroom & Kitchen Cleaning

·         Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, counters, and mirrors

·         Restock restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, tissue)

·         Wipe kitchen counters, tables, and appliances

·         Clean sinks and remove waste

Surface & Glass Cleaning

·         Clean interior windows, mirrors, and glass partitions

·         Spot‑clean smudges, fingerprints, and marks on walls and surfaces

Residential Cleaning Tasks

·         Make beds and tidy living areas

·         Light organizing of household spaces

·         Clean entryways, hallways, and common areas

Commercial Cleaning Tasks

·         Maintain cleanliness of office spaces, meeting rooms, and reception areas

·         Ensure shared spaces such as breakrooms and lobbies remain neat and presentable

Additional Duties

·         Replenish cleaning supplies as needed

·         Report safety hazards, damages, or maintenance issues

·         Follow company cleaning procedures and safety standards

·         Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to quality expectations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION:

·         Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

·         Experience: Previous cleaning experience (residential and commercial) is an asset

·         Language: English

·         Work Setting: Private Household and Commercial Building

·         Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

·         Ability to lift up to 20-25 lbs and perform physical task

·         Reliable, punctual and professional

Work Condition:

·         Work may take place in private homes, apartments, offices, retail stores and commercial facilities

·         Flexible schedule depending on client needs

·         Use of Cleaning equipment and supplies provided by the company
