Job Summary
Manor St. Jude Care Home is seeking a compassionate and dependable Long Term Care Aide to provide quality care and support to elderly residents and adults in a licensed Special Care Home setting. The successful candidate will assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, comfort, safety, and overall well-being while helping maintain a supportive and respectful living environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Serve meals and assist residents with feeding when required
Monitor and record residents’ vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Respond promptly to residents’ call signals and requests for assistance
Make beds and maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident rooms
Assist residents with mobility, exercise routines, and recreational activities
Observe residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions and report concerns to supervising staff
Administer and document medications in accordance with established care plans, physician instructions, and facility policies
Maintain accurate records related to resident care and medication administration
Maintain inventory of resident care supplies and household supplies
Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents
Perform other duties related to resident care, comfort, and personal support
Qualifications
First Aid Certificate
CPR Certificate
Criminal Record Check
Vulnerable Sector Check
Previous experience in a long-term care, residential care, healthcare, caregiving, or personal support environment is considered an asset
Skills and Abilities

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Licensed Special Care Home providing 24-hour residential care services
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout shifts
Ability to work under pressure in a residential care environment
Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Ability to assist residents with mobility and personal care needs
