Position Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Graphics Technician to support our production art operations. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where creativity meets technical precision. This role combines traditional hand techniques with cutting-edge digital tools to produce exceptional graphics across multiple formats.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Layout
• Design and layout pages for various projects
• Perform layout, page make-up, and placement using conceptual mock-ups
• Review graphic designer’s instructions and execute with precision
Traditional Techniques
• Produce artworks using hand lettering techniques
• Make stencil patterns
• Set type for printing
• Mount and scan photographs
Digital Production
• Digitize images using peripherals
• Transform digitized images using retouching systems, graphic palettes, and specialized software
• Produce computerized images and drawings
• Create project designs
Project Management
• Arrange for project printing and publication
• Manage all production aspects from concept to completion

Production Areas
You’ll work on diverse projects including:
• Print advertising & publication art
• Product packaging & corporate identity
• Signs & billboards
• Annual reports & greeting cards
• Multimedia & general production art
• Technical illustration & commercial art

What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
• College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year program)
• OR equivalent professional experience
• 1-2 years of relevant graphics technician experience
Technical Skills
• Proficiency with retouching systems and graphic design software
• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately
