Job Description
I, Melissa Tegan Lee Merchant, am looking for a responsible and reliable Child Caregiver for my 2 children aged 5 and 10 in Chilliwack, BC. This will be a full time position, permanent with 8 hours a day shift and 30-40 hours per week.
You will be performing the job duties mentioned below:
Supervise and care for children
Bathe, dress and feed children
Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Instruct children in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
Discipline children according to the methods requested by me
Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take children to and from school and appointments
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
Requirement of the job position:
Completion of secondary school is required
Minimum on year of experience is child care at a professional level is required
English language proficiency is required
My offer:
$20 per hour
Does not have to be a live-in caregiver. Live-in is not a condition of employment
4% vacation pay
