Position Details
Position: CNC Machinist Supervisor
Number of Vacancies: 1
Job Type: Full-time
Term: 3 years
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 35 hours per week
Work Schedule: Night Shift
Language of Work: English and French
Wage: $36.00/hour
Overtime: x1.5 after 40 workweek hours
Vacation: 2 weeks or more based on Quebec Labour Standard
Benefits: TBC

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supervise and schedule CNC machinists and machine operators.
Coordinate daily machining work and production activities.
Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and sample parts.
Plan the machining steps needed for each job.
Calculate measurements and tolerances.
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and lathe machines when needed.
Prepare or modify CNC programs.
Check finished parts to make sure they meet required measurements and quality standards.
Inspect machined parts using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM, and other precision instruments.
Help resolve machining, production, and quality problems.
Train and guide CNC machinists, machine operators, apprentices, and helpers.
Monitor workplace safety and make sure workers follow safety procedures.
Request materials, tools, and supplies needed for production.
Maintain inspection reports, production records, and machining activity reports.
Report major issues, defects, or production concerns to management.
Coordinate with other departments to keep production running smoothly.

Job Requirements
Education:
Secondary School Diploma

Experience:
1 year of relevant work experience
