Job Description

Little Bruce Farms located at NW-13-26-26w3, Eatonia, S0L 0Y0 is hiring a Farm Equipment Operator to support year-round crop production operations. Work will take place at the farm and involves outdoor duties in varying and sometimes harsh weather conditions. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week for a 2-year term, with work hours that may vary depending on seasonal and harvesting demands, including early mornings or late evenings.

Wages

$25  – $ 30 per hour depending on experience
40 hours per week, full-time
Atypical schedule depending on crop and harvesting cycles
Benefits:

4% vacation pay
On-site housing available ($30/week payroll deduction)

Job Duties

Operate farm machinery and equipment including combines, tractors, swathers, seed drills, sprayers, dusters, and related implements.
Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop production activities
Conduct routine equipment inspections, servicing, and basic maintenance
Prepare fields and support seasonal agricultural operations
Perform yard work, fence repair, and general farm maintenance
Work outdoors in varying and sometimes harsh weather conditions
Apply fertilizers and spray crops
Clear fields of wood and stones
Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
Clean work area
Harvest crops
Experience Requirements

Ability to safely operate farm equipment. Previous experience in any heavy equipment (mining equipment, agriculture equipment or construction equipment would be acceptable)
Ability to work long hours during peak agricultural seasons
Physically capable of performing labour-intensive outdoor work
Comfort working around heavy machinery and rotating equipment
Previous farm or equipment experience is an asset; training provided
