Job Duties:
• Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes
• Start conveyor system to move logs and lumber to and from saws
• Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications
• Replace blades or bands
• Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment
• Feed logs onto conveyor
• Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing using forklift or other powered equipment
• Feed conveyors, saws, and other equipment to process lumber,
• Assist other wood processing workers to operate, maintain and repair various machines and equipment and carry out other wood processing activities.
Skills Required:
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Repetitive Tasks

• Standing for Extended Periods
• Bending, Crouching, Kneeling.
• Weight Handling Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Experience Required:
• Experience in wood processing is an asset
Education Required:
• Secondary School
Wage & Hours: $22.00
• Number of hours per day: 10
• Number of days per week: 4
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 44
• Shift rotation (as applicable): day shift
