Job Description

The responsibilities and tasks related to the job are :

  • Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Assist in the setup and preparation of printing presses before production runs
  • Follow bag machine operations and operate instructions and calibration, size requirements, and support equipment
  • Interpret graphs and read various non-destructive quality control instruments such as thickness gauges, calipers etc
  • Monitor the printing process to ensure quality and quantity and advise adjustments as needed
  • Complete quality inspection sheet based on the dockets on daily basis
  • Inspect printed materials for defects and inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with senior pressmen to troubleshoot and address printing issues
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines and report any safety concerns or issues to supervisors.
  • Provide technical leadership in the areas of safety and quality systems
  • Work closely with production staff concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventive and corrective action activities
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures to achieve quality assurance principles while complying with legal regulations
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor
