Job Summary
As a User Support Technician at Standard Appliances LTD, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support for a variety of appliance brands. Your expertise will help ensure that our customers’ appliances are functioning optimally and that they receive timely and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to customers over the phone, via email, or in person.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with a wide range of home appliances, such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, laundry equipment and other related devices, either on-site at customers’ locations or in a repair facility.
Guide customers through problem-solving processes and recommend solutions.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or appropriate departments as necessary.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, including inquiries, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Stay current with product knowledge and industry trends to provide accurate and effective support.
Assist in the creation and updating of user support documentation.
Provide support in the implementation of software and firmware updates for appliances.
Qualifications
Completion of a college program in computer science, electronics, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year experience in a technical support or customer service role
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think analytically.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with major appliance brands and their technical specifications is an asset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
