Automotive Technician
Position: Full-time: 9:30AM – 6PM.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including changing engine oil, installing replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers, suspension work, steering components, radiators, and repairing and balancing tires on motor vehicles and trucks. You will also be required to add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids. And most general mechanical repairs. Additionally, you will assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose repair problems in all types of vehicles, utilizing the latest scan tool technologies.
· Perform maintenance, inspections, and all major repair work efficiently, including engines, transmissions, and timing belts.
· Welding using a Mig Welder to weld exhaust systems is an asset, but not necessary.
· Maintain a clean and customer-oriented workplace, ensuring a positive experience for all.
· Display dynamism: Ability to work both as a team and independently.
Requirements:
*MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE*
· Possess your own tools, ensuring readiness for the job at hand.
· Proven experience in automotive repair.
· Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is would be an asset.
· Knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Proficiency in English.
· Must be stationed locally to come and do an in-person interview.
