Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong understanding of various roofing materials and techniques. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of roofing projects while adhering to industry standards.

Duties:

• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
• Repair or replace roofing systems
• Install and repair roofs using hand and power tools
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms

Skills:

Proficient in the use of hand tools related to roofing tasks.
Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights.
Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing roofs against weather elements.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Additional pay: Overtime pay

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person (at various locations – construction sites)
