Job Description

Midtown Metro Pharmacy is looking for Pharmacy Assistant for their location in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Positions Available: 1
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position
Location: Unit 202, 45610 Yale Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2P 2N2
Salary: $22.00 per hour

Applicant Requirements:
Education: High School Certificate
Relevant Experience: 1-2 years previous experience

Job duties:
Assist in dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Receive and process prescription orders from customers or healthcare professionals.
Measure, count, and package medications accurately.
Prepare labels for medication containers.
Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
Monitor stock levels and place orders for replenishment.
Check the expiration dates of medications and remove expired stock.
Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and assisting customers.
Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
Maintain patient records and update relevant information.
File insurance claims and handle paperwork related to prescriptions.
Assist with the compounding of medications, as needed.
Use and maintain pharmacy equipment and technology.
Adhere to pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality.
