CAROLINE AND ASCHABER LLP  is currently seeking 1 experienced ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (NOC CODE 12200) to join our team.

Position Details
Position: ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
Number of Vacancies: 1
Job Type: Full-time, Term – 1 year
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Work Schedule: Day
Language of Work: English
Wage: $30.50
Overtime: Paid in accordance with applicable provincial employment standards
Vacation: 2 weeks

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Prepare year-end financial files, including Notice to Reader, Review, and Audit engagements.
Maintain and reconcile client accounts, sub-ledgers, and general ledgers.
Record journal entries and prepare trial balances.
Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports.
Perform bookkeeping duties for various clients using Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office.
Process payroll and prepare payments for taxes, utilities, and other expenses.
Complete and submit tax remittances, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents.
Prepare tax returns and provide other personal bookkeeping services.
Assist partners with other accounting-related duties as required.
Perform other related duties as required
Job Requirements
Education:
At least a college diploma in accounting technician

Experience:
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
