Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 5 years or more
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
Tasks:
– Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
– Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
– Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning
– Manage landscaping projects
– Prepare conceptual designs
– Prepare proposals
– Estimate costs
– Write specifications
– Survey and assess designated sites
– Prepare contracts and tenders
– Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
– Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products
– Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions
– Assess the health of lawns
– Direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes
– Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
– Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes
– Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens
– Plant and move trees
– Tree removal
– Exercise to maintain physical ability and physical fitness
