We are seeking reliable, efficient and skilled Steel Stud Framer-Carpenters to join our construction team. We offer dynamic working environment, where your skills will contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects.

JOB SUMMARY:

Position: Full-time, Permanent and non-seasonal; Wage rate : CAD $31.50/ hour; Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Location: In person; various construction sites in Metro Vancouver
Company Head Office location: #226 ,17 Fawcett Rd, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6V2
Work timings: Early morning, Daytime, Evening, Morning, Night (occasionally).
Position start date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:

Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Maintain, repair and renovate metal and and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other commercial establishments.
Install exterior and interior steel studs
Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Install door & window frames and other hardware
Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress.

Work Requirements:

Minimum 1 year proven experience in carpentry.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
