Work Location: On Site

Salary: 38.50 per hour

Hours: 32 hours per week

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Job Duties: The technician inspects and tests cable signals and related telecommunications equipment to ensure proper operation. They diagnose and locate faults, then adjust, repair, or replace defective components, cables, power supplies, and amplifiers. Using computerized testing systems, they analyze results, perform service tests on customer lines, and maintain accurate service reports. The role also involves climbing poles or ladders to install, connect, disconnect, or relocate cable outlets and modems, as well as installing necessary software to enable internet access. Additionally, the technician plans and determines daily work assignments to ensure efficient service delivery.
