Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full-time

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Arrangement: On site. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work Schedule
Morning, day, evening, night and weekend shifts may be required.

Education and Experience
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate

Experience: Seven months to less than one year of relevant cooking experience

Work Setting
·   Restaurant.

·   Bar.

Job Duties
·   Determine appropriate food portion sizes and related costs.

·   Plan menus and estimate the food requirements for their preparation.

·   Requisition food and kitchen supplies.

·   Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.

·   Prepare suitable dishes for customers with food allergies or food intolerances.

·   Inspect kitchens and food service areas.

·   Train staff in food preparation, cooking and safe food-handling procedures.

·   Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.

·   Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

·   Clean kitchen and work areas.

·   Manage kitchen operations.

Certificates and Requirements
Certification: Food Safety Certificate

Cuisine Specialization: Canadian and international cuisine

Security and Safety: Criminal record check
