Job Description
A Permanent Full-Time position for a Personal Support Worker – Home Support is in need in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Duties include:
Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption
Assist in regular exercise e.g. walking
Plan and prepare meals and special diets and may assist in feeding if necessary
May perform routine health-related duties such as administration of medication, arranging and accompanying clients to medical appointments
May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

Work Condition and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
Physical Demands: Making repetitive motions, Walking and running, Bending and standing long periods.
Wages and Benefits: Wages of $20.15 per hour, for 35-40 hours per week.
Work Experience: Experience is an Asset. Home management experience may be required. Must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.
Education: Some Secondary School Education is usually required. College or other courses in home support may be required. Completion of a training program in convalescent care may be required. First Aid Certification is required.
