Job Opportunity: Heavy Equipment Operator at Marshall West Excavating & Contracting Ltd. (o/a M West Excavating)

Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Various job sites in Kamloops and surrounding areas, BC
Hourly Wage: $36.60
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of some courses in heavy equipment operation, along with on-the-job training
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery is preferred
- Good command of English
- Physically capable of performing duties in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
Duties:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, skidsteers, loaders) for earthmoving and related construction activities
- Perform all aspects of site preparation, including land clearing, utility trenching, road/pad building, and new utility infrastructure installation
- Understand material conditioning basics
- Operate different types of compaction equipment with various materials
- Load, move, and unload materials using heavy machinery
- Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, fueling, and cleaning
