Job Title: Transport Truck Driver

Status: Full Time, permanent

Wage Rate: $38.50 /HR

Vacancies: 2

Location Details:

Company: Westland Transport Ltd..

Address: Aldergrove, BC

Experience and Skills:

•         Completion of secondary school is required.

•         No experience needed (Will train)

•          AZ class license

•          Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

•          Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

 

 

Job Duties:

 

·         Address customers’ complaints or concerns

·         Mountain driving expertise

·         Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

·         Load and unload goods

·         Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

·         Perform emergency roadside repairs

·         Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

·         Perform preventive maintenance

·         Receive and relay information to central dispatch

·         Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·         Transport and handle dangerous goods
