Salary: $46.88 per hour / 40 hours per week

Education:

No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience:

1 to 2 years of relevant experience

Workplace Information:

On the road (Work locations may vary; frequent or constant travel is required.)

Responsibilities:

Address customers’ complaints or concerns
Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections; oversee all aspects of the vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Ensure the safety and security of cargo by proper tarping
Credentials:

Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
Experience and Specialization:

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)
Communication Systems Experience:
Citizens band (CB) radio, GPS, and other navigation equipment
Transportation/Travel Experience:
Local, National, Regional, Short-haul
