About the Role
We are looking for a Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The role includes responsibilities such as estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new bid opportunities
Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets for construction projects
Oversee project scheduling, coordination, and execution
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Handle contract negotiations, project reporting, and progress tracking
Ensure compliance with Canadian building codes, safety standards, and local regulations
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction, Engineering, Building Technology, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and at least 2 years in the steel industry.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
· Strong understanding of construction trades, welding, steel fabrication, and erection.
· Experience in material take-offs from client-supplied drawings.
· Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drafting software (basic drafting skills required).
· Comprehensive knowledge of local, provincial, and federal construction codes and regulations.
· Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to delegate, plan, and oversee project execution.
· Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to ensure project efficiency.
· Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and scheduling tools.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Valid driver’s license required.
