Job Description

Prestige Signs and Lighting Inc. is hiring an Electrician

Job type: Permanent, full-time
Locations: Various project locations in Greater Vancouver area, BC
Hourly wage: $31.66

Skills requirements:

·      Completion of high school is required;

·      At least 1-2 years of proven experience as an electrician is required;

·      Good command of English;

·      Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent is an asset.

Main duties:

·      Read blueprints and technical diagrams;

·      Check signs for visual defects and faulty electrical and mechanical connections;

·      Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies and other electrical components using hand tools and power tools;

·      Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components;

·      Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices;

·      Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or equipment;

·      Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
