Job Description
Our company specializes in working with residential and commercial plumbing. Whenever a plumbing emergency strikes, we understand how vital it is to get an experienced team on the job to get it done quickly!
We are plumbing contractors that have over 20 years combined experience in the plumbing industry. We believe in providing honest dependable service – no matter what! We provide service throughout Metro Vancouver, and we have dealt with everything from vintage plumbing installations in heritage homes to the latest high-tech installations. We are dedicated to solving the problem quickly by immediately responding to all calls. We serve a wide range of customers – from residential homes to large apartment complexes, restaurants, warehousing, commercial interests.
Candidates are required to have a mechanical background, with a good understanding of building systems. This person needs attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Duties:
· Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
· Measuring, cutting, bending and installing pipes using hand and power tools.
· Joining pipes using clamps, screws, bolts or cement.
· Welding pipes.
· Testing pipes for leaks.
· Assisting with installing, repairing and maintaining domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing systems.
· Assisting with marking positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors.
· Assist in lining up pipes and work on other activities.
· Load and unload materials
– Assist with inventory of parts and record in inventory computer program
· Help tradespersons, such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers.
Requirements:
Basic technical understanding of plumbing systems and 2-3 years experience as a handyman, carpenter, or construction worker. Plumber certificate is an asset but not required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
Self-motivated and be able to work well independently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Technical understanding of construction and plumbing connections.
Inventory Control Program Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $31.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
