Job Description
Shiftfix transmissions Inc. invites candidates to apply for the full-time permanent position of transmission technician.
The ideal candidate must have:
· 5 years of general automotive experience
· Knowledge of diagnostics and repair of electrical components
· Ability to use diagnostic equipment and test drive a vehicle to identify transmission defects
· Experience working with all types of transmissions, including CVT and imports such as Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Ford and others
· Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, books and manuals
· Well organized, independent and capable of maintaining professional work environment.
The primary communication language on this position is English.
Duties on the job will include but not be limited to:
· Remove and reinstall transmissions and components of drivetrain.
· Disassemble, inspect and clean differential parts.
· Identify, inspect, clean, and shelve used and new parts as directed.
· Raise cars, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
· Maintain work area appearance and safety
Shiftfix transmissions Inc. is located at Unit 4, 6707 Winston Churchill Blvd | Mississauga, ON L5N 3W2; this will be the work location of the transmission technician.
The position is compensated at $65,600 per year, with minimum of 35 work hours per week.
