Position Details
Position: ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
Number of Vacancies: 1
Job Type: Full-time, Term – 3 year
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: Day
Language of Work: English or French
Wage: $38.46
Overtime: Paid in accordance with applicable provincial employment standards
Vacation: 2 weeks
Benefits: Transportation allowance, Travel Insurance if needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Maintain financial records and general ledgers.
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
Prepare trial balances and financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare supplier, utility and tax payments.
Assist with GST/HST and government remittances.
Assist with month-end/year-end closing.
Investigate accounting discrepancies.
Prepare documents for audits.
Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.
Job Requirements
Education:
College/CEGEP
Experience:
3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience
Language:
English or French
