Job Overview:

The Flats Eatery+Drink is currently seeking one (1) Kitchen Helpers (NOC 65201) to join our kitchen team. The role involves assisting cooks and kitchen staff in preparing meals, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen area in a clean and safe manner.

Education & Experience:

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
Experience: Will train

Work Environment:

Setting: Restaurant and Bar
Workplace: On-site only
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend

Responsibilities:

Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
Load buspans and trays
Operate dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware
Place cleaned dishes in storage areas
Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations
Package take-out food and portion/wrap food items
Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
Stock refrigerators and salad bars
Use manual and electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim food items
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment
Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
