Job Description

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Change non-sterile dressings
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus
  • Provide companionship
  • Provide personal care
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook

 

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Must have a valid CPR Certificate.
  • Must have a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Must have a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate.
  • Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrates punctuality, dependability, reliability, honesty, patience, flexibility, excellent oral communication, and strong organizational skills.
