Golden Star Daycare in North Vancouver, BC is seeking qualified Early Childhood Supervisor

Job Position: Early Childhood Supervisor, Permanent, Full-time

Work Location: 829 15th Street W suite 101 North Vancouver, BC V7P 1M5

Wages and working hours: $34~$36.80 per hour, 30 hours per week

Requirement:

– Early Childhood Education college Diploma or higher

– Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License

– Valid First Aid Certificate

– 1 year experience in child care setting

– Good communication skills in English

Main Responsibilities:

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants

Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours

Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

Educate children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity

Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians

Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
