Job Description

Jive Jive Hair & Makeup Ltd. is looking for a full-time experienced hairstylist at Jive Jive Hair Salon. We provide full hairstyling services.

 

Duties:

– Provide styling suggestions to clients and design hair according to clients’ preferences

– Bleach, tint, taper, curl, wave and perm clients’ hair

– Analyze hair and scalp conditions of clients and provide treatment or advice on beauty care for scalp and hair

– Shampoo and rinse hair, scalp and head massage

– Cut, trim, and style clients’ hair

– Work with groups of wedding couples in organizing their dressing, hair and makeup for weddings and wedding photos on location (primarily for Japanese kimono style wedding)

 

Skills and Experiences:

– Completion of secondary school

– 3 years or more experience as a hairstylist is required

 

Language:

– Oral and written English skills

 

Compensation:

$18.00/hr, 40 hrs/week, 4% vacation pay

 

Work Location: Jive Jive Hair Salon, 7 Londsdale Ave. North Vancouver, BC V7M 2E4
