Seeking a highly skilled, passionate, and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Miradoro Restaurant

Overview:

To assist the Executive Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading the team by demonstrating professionalism, discipline, and teamwork at all times. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fine dining, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in every dish.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant or high-end culinary establishment. Preference over individuals who have experience in winery restaurants.
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques, and fine dining standards.
    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
  • Passion for culinary arts, with a creative approach to food presentation and flavour, specifically combining a winery’s wine products with a restaurant’s dining experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior cooks.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
