Job Duties:
Trimmer Operator will be working at Sawmill Department.
• Monitor 16’ landing table for steady flow of lumber.
• Inspect lumber for quality. Report flaws to Supervisor or Filer.
• Pull off boards that are below 6’ or have major bowing.
• Ensure one piece of lumber per lug enters the trimmer saw box straight.
• Watch monitors for steady flow of lumber and production.
• Clean lasers twice per shift with isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper optimization.
• Clean air filter and blow out filter crate on optimizer blower once per shift.
• Change air filter for optimizer once per week. Record on downtime sheet when this has been done.
• Turn off blower for optimizer when finished night shift on Fridays.
• Restart blower for optimizer on Monday morning before shift.
• Ensure tools are in good working order.
• Assist in jams to help minimize downtime.
• Circle check machine daily before shift.
• Report any machine, pneumatic or electrical errors immediately to Supervisor.
• Housekeeping.
• Complete and maintain downtime reports.

• Secondary school certificate
Wage & Hours: $ 32.45
• Number of hours per day: 10

• Overtime starts after how many hours: 40
• Shift rotation: one week days, one week nights 7:00-5:30
