We are constantly growing and evolving. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Assistant Manager – food services to join our team for a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Recruit staff and oversee staff training
Organize staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
Resolve customer complaints, ensure excellent customer service and make sure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Provide customer service

Position Requirements:

Secondary school diploma
At least 2 years of experience in experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience
Excellent organizational, customer service and time management skills
Ability to excel working in a highly fast-paced environment; stand for extended periods; work under pressure
Good English language skills

Terms & Conditions:

Permanent, full-time employment – 32 hours per week
Compensation: $29 per hour. An overtime rate of $43.5 per hour will apply after 44 hours of work per week
Restaurant location: 2515 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1V 0Y5.
